Description
Welcome to Casa Bohemia, our home in the village of Manzanillo. Built with beautiful native woods, it is like living in an indoor tree house. Manzanillo is at the end of the road before the National Wildlife Refuge, so there is very little traffic with people walking, biking and children playing in the streets. There is a small town feel, with grocery stores, restaurants, and a stunning beach, all a short walk from the house.
Casa Bohemia has approximately 1800 square feet of living space. There are two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds in each room. Also on the second floor is a full bathroom with jacuzzi. The space is open, airy and well ventilated. The downstairs is an open floor plan with a kitchen, dining room and living room. There is a second bathroom with a walk-in shower. Both bathrooms have hot water. The kitchen is fully equipped with large refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, stove, rice cooker and many utensils and cookware. Drinking spring water, TV, fiber optic internet, beach towels and beach blanket are included. Property amenities include a concierge service to assist with transportation, reservations, chef services and activity arrangements. There is also a large covered porch off the living room where you can enjoy your morning coffee, evening wine or perhaps a nap in the comfortable hammock.
Everything in Manzanillo is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the house, or a very quick bike ride. The public bus stop is two blocks away. Cabs and tuk tuks are available to take you out of town. There is private parking for one vehicle inside the door.
Quiet neighborhood located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, full of traditions and relaxed atmosphere. A unique place to rest, to reconnect with nature and enjoy the beautiful beaches and rainforest of Costa Rica.
Nearby you will find small "sodas" with traditional food, with the unique flavor of Caribbean food, as well as the renowned Maxi's restaurant, with its great culinary tradition.
From Casa Bohemia you can walk to the National Refuge Gandoca - Manzanillo, with extensive trails to enjoy contact with nature, you can not miss its famous viewpoint.
The beaches are beautiful, with calm seas in several areas where you can sunbathe and cool off in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea.
You can get around by bicycle, which is very pleasant to do from Manzanillo to Puerto Viejo.
You can also rent a car, any single or four-wheel drive vehicle will get you to Casa Bohemia. The parking lot has space for 1 vehicle.
You can get around with the private cabs or Tuk Tuk or rent a Scooter.
This location is a beach lover's paradise. We have been to beaches all over the world, and this is one of the best we have seen. You can walk from Manzanillo beach to Puerto Viejo for 3 hours of barely interrupted beautiful sand, trees and coral reefs, many of them with not another person in sight.
Casa Bohemia is only 200 meters from Manzanillo's main beach, a 10 minute walk to watch the sunset or to explore more beach areas a little further away. The entrance to the National Park is also there.

This place felt like a real-life treehouse with all of the amenities needed to make the perfect stay. It was a great way to relax after spending a day out in Puerto Viejo. If you want to feel like a local of the town, I would highly recommend stayingsee more
