Casa Bohemia ~ Cozy stay steps from Manzanillo beach

Welcome to Casa Bohemia, our house in the village of Manzanillo. Constructed with beautiful native hardwoods, it is like living in an indoor tree house, built with an Artist's touch. Manzanillo is at the end of the road before the National Wildlife Refuge so there is very little traffic with people walking, biking and kids playing in the streets. There is a small town feel, with grocery stores, many restaurants, abundant wildlife and a stunning beach, all within a quick walk from the house.

Casa Bohemia is approximately 1300 sq ft of living space. There are two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds in each room. Also on the second floor is a full bathroom. The space is open and airy, and well ventilated. The downstairs is an open floor plan with a kitchen, dining and living area. There is a second bathroom with a walk-in shower. Both bathrooms have hot water. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, stove top, rice cooker and plenty of utensils and cookware. The ceramic filter supply  drinking water , as well as a TV, fiber optic internet, beach towels and beach blanket. The property amenities include a concierge service to assist with transportation, reservations, chef's services and activities arrangements. There is also a large, covered porch off the living area where you can enjoy your morning coffee, evening wine or maybe an afternoon siesta in the comfy hammock!

Everything in Manzanillo is within a 5-to-10-minute walk from the house, or a very quick bike ride. The public bus stop is two blocks away. Taxis and Tuk Tuks are available to take you out of town. There is private parking for one vehicle inside the gate.

 A unique place to rest, to reconnect with nature and enjoy the beautiful beaches and tropical forest of Costa Rica.

Nearby are "sodas" small traditional food places, with the unique flavor of Caribbean food, as well as the renowned Maxi's restaurant, with its great culinary tradition.

From Casa Bohemia you can walk to the Gandoca - Manzanillo National Refuge, with extensive trails to enjoy contact with nature, you cannot miss its famous viewpoint.

The beaches are beautiful, with calm seas in several areas where you can sunbathe and cool off in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea.

You can get around by bike, which is very nice to do from Manzanillo to Puerto Viejo.

You can also rent a vehicle, any single or double traction vehicle will take you well to Casa Bohemia. The parking lot has space for 1 vehicle.

You can mobilize with private taxis or Tuk Tuk or rent a Scooter.

This location is a beach lover’s paradise. We have been to beaches around the world, and this ranks with the best we have seen. You can walk from Manzanillo Beach towards Puerto Viejo for a barely interrupted 3 hours of gorgeous sand, trees and coral reefs, much of it without another person in sight.

Casa Bohemia is only 200 meters to the main beach in Manzanillo, an easy 5-minute walk to watch the sunset or to explore more beach areas a little further away. The entrance to the National Park is there as well.
